Life moves quickly. It’s easy to pass the same beautiful views every day without really seeing them. Just Around the Corner is a reminder to slow down and notice the color, light, architecture, and the little moments of beauty woven throughout New Orleans.
I hope this collection brings to mind the parts of our city we love most- and reminds us to take the time to enjoy them.

Artist Statement
Living in New Orleans, it’s easy to overlook the very details that make our neighborhoods so special: imperfect shutters, old brick pathways, ornate corbels, weathered porches, lanterns, sprawling oaks, and greenery that seems to grow wherever it pleases.
Just Around the Corner is a collection of six original paintings inspired by those everyday details. Rather than focusing on the landmarks and postcard views of New Orleans, I wanted to capture the local side of the city- the homes, passages, porches, and little architectural moments we pass every day.
Each scene combines architecture, color, plants, and light in a way that feels familiar, local, and unmistakably New Orleans, without belonging to one particular address.
The title comes from one of my favorite things about this city: you never quite know what you’ll discover just around the corner.
More than anything, I wanted to capture the charm of New Orleans and the feeling that comes from slowing down long enough to notice the details that make this city feel like home.
