A Stoop Away

20"x 24” original painting of A Stoop Away

For this piece, I wanted to focus closely on the details around a New Orleans entrance rather than create a portrait of an entire house. The weathered door and shutters, lantern, stoop, and surrounding greenery turn an ordinary threshold into the kind of architectural moment that makes you stop and look a little longer.
