Trumpet Call

20"x 20” original painting of Trumpet Call

This painting was inspired by a house in my old neighborhood where a trumpet vine grew across the porch and seemed to take over the architecture when it bloomed. I paired the vine with an ornate corbel and a small hummingbird to capture both the architectural character and the life that gathers around these overgrown New Orleans porches.
