Marsh Mates celebrates the quiet companionship found in nature through two elegant egrets set against a soft, impressionistic Southern landscape. Casey Langteau's signature palette knife technique brings movement and texture to the birds' flowing feathers, while muted greens, warm neutrals, and gentle blue-gray tones create a timeless color palette that feels both fresh and calming.

Designed to complement a variety of interiors, this piece is especially well suited for living rooms, bedrooms, coastal homes, and lake houses. Artist Statement: In "Marsh Mates", I wanted to capture the peaceful essence of the Louisiana swampland—a place where time slows and nature takes center stage. The two egrets stand poised in the shallow water, surrounded by tall grasses, embodying a quiet serenity. With an abstract approach to the background, I let the natural palette guide the composition, evoking the tranquility and effortless beauty of life in the wetlands.

Paper Print - Printed on flat fine art paper using professional giclée printers. Includes a white border for easy framing and a printed signature on the bottom right. Sizes up to 16x20 ship flat; larger prints ship rolled in a tube.

Canvas Wrap - Printed on archival gloss canvas and stretched over a 1.5” wood frame with the image wrapped around the sides. Comes ready to hang with wire and a printed signature on the bottom right.

Artist Embellished Canvas - A canvas print enhanced by the artist with thick, textured acrylic brushstrokes for a one-of-a-kind finish. Hand-signed and available with optional personalization for an added fee.

Floating Canvas Frame - While canvas wraps don’t require a frame (since the artwork continues beautifully around the edges)  adding a wooden floating frame offers a refined, modern touch. The subtle gap between the canvas and frame creates a “floating” effect that elevates the piece. Each artwork arrives ready to hang with wire installed. Frame colors are artist-selected to best complement the artwork and may vary.

Shipping - Orders ship 1–5 business days after production. If you purchase different item types, they may arrive in separate shipments.

Gallery Pickup - Select local pickup at checkout to collect your order from our gallery at 3649 Magazine Street. You’ll be emailed when it’s ready and will have 1 month to pick it up before it’s returned to inventory.

Exchange Policy: We accept exchanges or returns for store credit only within 14 days of purchase (please bring your receipt with you!). Returns for store credit come in the form of a gift card that you can use anytime within one year’s time from the date of activation.
