Chandeliers of St. Charles

Chandeliers of St. Charles was inspired by one of those scenes that feels so normal in New Orleans you almost stop noticing it. After carnival season ends, beads remain tangled in the oak trees along St. Charles Avenue, hanging from the branches for months afterward. Over time, they become part of the landscape itself.

The title comes from the way the beads drape from the canopy, catching the light and hanging overhead like chandeliers. Paired with the familiar green streetcar making its way down the avenue, the piece captures a side of Mardi Gras that feels a little quieter and more lasting. Soft greens, layered neutrals, and rich palette knife texture give the painting a timeless quality, allowing it to work beautifully year-round without feeling overly seasonal.

Paper Print - Printed on flat fine art paper using professional giclée printers. Includes a white border for easy framing and a printed signature on the bottom right. Sizes up to 16x20 ship flat; larger prints ship rolled in a tube.

Canvas Wrap - Printed on archival gloss canvas and stretched over a 1.5” wood frame with the image wrapped around the sides. Comes ready to hang with wire and a printed signature on the bottom right.

Artist Embellished Canvas - A canvas print enhanced by the artist with thick, textured acrylic brushstrokes for a one-of-a-kind finish. Hand-signed and available with optional personalization for an added fee.

Floating Canvas Frame - While canvas wraps don’t require a frame (since the artwork continues beautifully around the edges)  adding a wooden floating frame offers a refined, modern touch. The subtle gap between the canvas and frame creates a “floating” effect that elevates the piece. Each artwork arrives ready to hang with wire installed. Frame colors are artist-selected to best complement the artwork and may vary.

Shipping - Orders ship 1–5 business days after production. If you purchase different item types, they may arrive in separate shipments.

Gallery Pickup - Select local pickup at checkout to collect your order from our gallery at 3649 Magazine Street. You’ll be emailed when it’s ready and will have 1 month to pick it up before it’s returned to inventory.

Exchange Policy: We accept exchanges or returns for store credit only within 14 days of purchase (please bring your receipt with you!). Returns for store credit come in the form of a gift card that you can use anytime within one year’s time from the date of activation.
