Breakfast Fit for a King

Mardi Gras comes with its own set of rules- starting your day with king cake and champagne are totally fair game. I created this piece to bottle up that carefree, no-rules spirit we all love about Mardi Gras. Consider it permission to have your cake and eat it too. 

The thick palette knife texture made this piece especially fun to paint, particularly in the icing and frosting where the paint is layered heavily across the canvas. Filled with the familiar colors of Carnival, Breakfast Fit for a King brings a celebratory energy to a space without feeling overly themed. It's a natural fit for a dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook, or anywhere people gather around food, conversation, and good company.

Paper Print - Printed on flat fine art paper using professional giclée printers. Includes a white border for easy framing and a printed signature on the bottom right. Sizes up to 16x20 ship flat; larger prints ship rolled in a tube.

Canvas Wrap - Printed on archival gloss canvas and stretched over a 1.5” wood frame with the image wrapped around the sides. Comes ready to hang with wire and a printed signature on the bottom right.

Artist Embellished Canvas - A canvas print enhanced by the artist with thick, textured acrylic brushstrokes for a one-of-a-kind finish. Hand-signed and available with optional personalization for an added fee.

Floating Canvas Frame - While canvas wraps don’t require a frame (since the artwork continues beautifully around the edges)  adding a wooden floating frame offers a refined, modern touch. The subtle gap between the canvas and frame creates a “floating” effect that elevates the piece. Each artwork arrives ready to hang with wire installed. Frame colors are artist-selected to best complement the artwork and may vary.

Shipping - Orders ship 1–5 business days after production. If you purchase different item types, they may arrive in separate shipments.

Gallery Pickup - Select local pickup at checkout to collect your order from our gallery at 3649 Magazine Street. You’ll be emailed when it’s ready and will have 1 month to pick it up before it’s returned to inventory.

Exchange Policy: We accept exchanges or returns for store credit only within 14 days of purchase (please bring your receipt with you!). Returns for store credit come in the form of a gift card that you can use anytime within one year’s time from the date of activation.
