Best Foot Forward
Best Foot Forward captures the quiet elegance of a great blue heron mid-stride, moving with effortless confidence through its natural surroundings. Painted in Casey Langteau's signature palette knife style, the layered blues, soft grays, and warm neutrals create remarkable texture, while the airy impasto background and delicate marsh grasses give the piece a peaceful sense of depth and movement.
One of Casey's most beloved wildlife paintings, Best Foot Forward brings a refined coastal feel to any space. It is beautiful displayed on its own and pairs perfectly with Standing Tall, with the two compositions naturally facing one another to create a balanced, gallery-worthy display.
Available as paper print, canvas print, and hand-embellished canvas print.

Print Style Options and Details
Paper Print - Printed on flat fine art paper using professional giclée printers. Includes a white border for easy framing and a printed signature on the bottom right. Sizes up to 16x20 ship flat; larger prints ship rolled in a tube.
Canvas Wrap - Printed on archival gloss canvas and stretched over a 1.5” wood frame with the image wrapped around the sides. Comes ready to hang with wire and a printed signature on the bottom right.
Artist Embellished Canvas - A canvas print enhanced by the artist with thick, textured acrylic brushstrokes for a one-of-a-kind finish. Hand-signed and available with optional personalization for an added fee.
Floating Canvas Frame - While canvas wraps don’t require a frame (since the artwork continues beautifully around the edges) adding a wooden floating frame offers a refined, modern touch. The subtle gap between the canvas and frame creates a “floating” effect that elevates the piece. Each artwork arrives ready to hang with wire installed. Frame colors are artist-selected to best complement the artwork and may vary.

Had to have the great blue heron to go with the pelican. Such a regal boy.
All I can say is WOW! This is exactly what I have been looking for to decorate my living room in a coastal/southern Louisiana vibe. I am a fan!!
My fault
That i was expecting the actual canvas to be 11x14, not including the frame. I LOVE it bit just wished it were bigger. My friends bought me a large print for a going away gift before we moved away last year , it was lost in the move.😢
it poured here after i ordered from the day it was delivered. the print was not harmed but the items not in the plastic cover were destroyed. which is a bummer but not something that bothered me since the print was unharmed.
Just gorgeous! Amazing quality, even better than expected. Would absolutely order more prints.
