Limited edition posters of the Crescent City Classic 2023 Poster - “The Classic”
Crescent City Classic was painted to be made into this year’s 2023 Crescent City Classic poster. The Crescent City Classic is an annual 10k race, put on over Easter weekend, by the Crescent City Fitness Foundation.
My perspective features Esplanade Avenue, a huge portion of the marathon route. I knew Esplanade Avenue would be my ideal place to paint and shine light on as I’d be able to capture quintessential New Orleans architecture with lush native greenery and magnificent oaks.
In this piece, you can find a few fun additions, like the number 45 (in the runner’s bib and as the house address), which represents this year‘s race, Mardi Gras bunting and beads, the New Orleans city flag, and the Crescent City Classic flag. I painted the piece in a primarily neutral palette to let the architecture and foliage shine on their own.
Sizes and Pricing:
The posters are an “Artist Remarque” edition, so they are numbered 1-100, hand-signed and contain a small magnolia doodle in the left margin.

Print Options:
Paper Print – Screen printed on a gorgeous flat fine art cardstock. Artwork comes rolled in a packing tube for protection. The piece is hand-signed, numbered, and includes a magnolia drawing in the bottom left margin. (processing time- 1 week)
Canvas Print – Printed in the South on high-quality Archival Gloss Canvas. Stretched on a wood frame and ready to hang. Image wraps along a 1.5” edge, so framing is not necessary. Artist’s signature is printed on the bottom right. (processing time- 4 weeks)
Reworked Canvas Print – Canvas print hand-embellished with thick acrylic brushstrokes and texture to make it look more like the original. Signed on the bottom right. (processing time- 5-6 weeks) Click here to shop all reworked canvas print options.

Calming and complex, this collection of artwork radiates joy and a tremendous feeling of hope. These paintings are inspired by a period of slow, strong growth. The garden goes through changes. Sometimes it grows gently and other times it is forced to transform in order to survive, all while silently persisting to blossom. You, as well, are always growing. I hope this artwork reminds you to appreciate change, growth, and new beginnings; to mark the time and to cherish the process.
This collection was influenced by Art Nouveau and Chinoiserie designs. I took the iconic French style and translated it into a modern, Southern aesthetic. Each individual flower, bird, and insect is an essential and meaningful piece to the artwork as a whole. Each carries their own symbolism to tell their chapter in the story of this new collection.
