Some common questions

If you have additional questions feel free to email me! gallery@caseylangteauart.com

1. HOW DO I BUY AN ORIGINAL?

I create as many paintings as possible and release them in collections on my website a few times per year. The number of paintings and subject of a collection vary, but all of my releases will be well advertised beforehand via our social media and email list. These paintings tend to go pretty quickly, so be sure to be to snag one!
Current originals can be seen here.

2. CAN I COMMISSION A PAINTING?

Yes! The process is very easy and I work closely with you to bring your vision to life. More info can be found here. I do not “repaint” original paintings from the collection - if you’d like an exact replica of something you’ve seen in a collection, I’d recommend checking out my prints and reworked prints here.

3. PRINT QUALITY & DETAILS:

All Giclee canvas and art paper reproductions are printed to order. The processing time is anywhere from 1-3 weeks.

4. HOW IS MY ARTWORK GOING TO BE SHIPPED?
Originals:

  • All artwork is shrink-wrapped to protect from water, padded well, and sent in a well-fitting sturdy cardboard box.

  • Most orders will ship via USPS or UPS and most domestic packages arrive within 2-4 days from the time of shipping.

  • International shipments vary. International buyers, please note that shipping charges may be higher due to import taxes and duties. Please email gallery@caseylangteauart.com for an estimate.

Prints:

  • All prints are handled with the utmost care; packaged in paper or plastic sleeves. Depending on the size print, you may receive your print in either a flat envelope or rolled tube. Both are safe and secure ways to transport your print.

Shipping costs cover fees, packaging supplies, time, labor, and storage.

5. SHIPPING OVERSIZED CANVASES:

Canvases, Reworked canvases, and original paintings over 32”x48” will be shipped via art freighter. This adds an additional 2-3 weeks to the processing time. Pricing starts at $350 and will be determined by the gallery before shipment. Payment is required before the piece is sent.

6. CAN I PICK UP MY ARTWORK FROM YOUR GALLERY?

Absolutely! You are also welcome to pick up your artwork in person at my studio in New Orleans, LA. At checkout, you will be given the choice to forgo shipping fees altogether by choosing “gallery pickup”. You can pickup from the gallery at 4700 Magazine Street, New Orleans during our business hours. We will email you when the piece is ready.

7. RETURNS:

My goal is for you to be completely thrilled with your purchase! I know that you might get home and realize you need a different size print, or maybe you just can’t get another piece out of your head! With that in mind, we do accept exchanges or returns for store credit only within 14 days of purchase (please bring your receipt with you!). Returns for store credit come in the form of a gift card that you can use anytime within one year’s time from the date of activation.

Note that we do not accept returns or exchanges on customized pieces, including originals and reworked canvases. With questions or concerns, please email us at gallery@caseylangteauart.com

8. ORDERING PRIOR TO A SALE:

Did you order a item only to find out the next day it’s on sale? I hate when this happens! While I rarely discount my work, if you run into this issue we can help! If you placed an order within 7 days of the sale, we can apply the discount to your item(s) and send you a refund for the difference. Please email gallery@caseylangteauart.com with your order number and information.

9. STOCKISTS & GALLERIES:

I am honored you would like my artwork on your walls and in your shop! Gallery owners, please send me an email at gallery@caseylangteauart.com to discuss your gallery and ideas.

10. INTERIOR DESIGNERS:

I love working with designers because I love it when my artwork lives in a fine looking room! I offer designers a discount on Giclee prints. Please email gallery@caseylangteauart.com with what you are looking for.

who actually owns the image?

I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings.   I retain the right to make REPRODUCTIONS OF ANY AND ALL ARTWORK I CREATE UNLESS THE COLLECTOR HAS PURCHASED THE FULL OR PARTIAL RIGHTS TO THE ARTWORK (this is in addition to purchasing the original).

The Collector or Buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.

If the artwork in your home or business is featured in a magazine or other media I only ask for credit (and congratulations! that means your home is super beautiful!).

When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business (hooray!), but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission.

Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing full or partial rights to your painting.

Some collectors chose to purchase my right to reproduce the artwork to ensure it will never become a print.  I am totally happy to discuss that with you if you would like!
