Limited edition reworked canvas prints in varying sizes of The Classic: Square Crop

This painting began on a larger scale as my creation for 2023’s Crescent City Classic poster. The Crescent City Classic is an annual 10k race, put on over Easter weekend, by the Crescent City Fitness Foundation.

Esplanade Avenue was an ideal place to paint and shine light on the quintessential New Orleans architecture with lush native greenery and magnificent oaks. I chose to paint this piece in a primarily neutral palette to let the architecture and foliage shine on their own.

A Reworked Canvas Print is printed on high-quality Archival Gloss Canvas stretched over a wood frame that are then hand-embellished by Casey Langteau with thick acrylic brushstrokes and texture to create the impression of an original painting. Casey begins each rework by coating the printed canvas in a clear, glossy gel, mimicking the brushwork of the original piece. Then, she selectively adds thick colored paint to accent key elements of the image. 

Each rework is a unique creation and a form of the original piece. This glossy, textured canvas imitates an original painting and elevates any art collection.
