Everywhere Else It's Just a Tuesday

Everywhere Else It’s Just a Tuesday captures the unmistakable spirit of New Orleans, where a brass band, a passing parade, and a streetcar can transform an ordinary day into a celebration. A lively second line band leads the scene as revelers follow behind, beads fill the air, and a Mardi Gras float rolls through the background. Anchored by the iconic St. Charles streetcar, the painting is a joyful tribute to the traditions that make New Orleans unlike anywhere else.

Painted in Casey’s signature impressionist style, the piece features rich palette knife texture, vibrant sunset colors, and movement throughout the composition. Soft pinks, golds, greens, and blues create a festive atmosphere while celebrating the music, culture, and everyday magic woven into life in the Crescent City. Perfect for living rooms, dining rooms, and spaces designed for gathering and entertaining.

Artist Statement: In this piece, I wanted to capture all of the best parts of Mardi Gras and what makes it so special. I hope you have the urge to join in by singing your favorite jazz tune and dancing into the second line. All are welcome at this "Pardi"!

So, what makes Mardi Gras so special? For me, it's the music, artistry, and joy that each member of the city adds to the experience. It's a city-wide affair that celebrates life and indulges in things that make us happiest (mainly king cake). I love seeing the amount of time and creativity that goes into each float, costume, and even something as small as a Mardi Gras throw! (Hopefully one of these days I'll catch a coconut!) I'm sure you can think of a few dozen reasons why Mardi Gras is special to you. Just think, everywhere else it's just a Tuesday!

Paper Print - Printed on flat fine art paper using professional giclée printers. Includes a white border for easy framing and a printed signature on the bottom right. Sizes up to 16x20 ship flat; larger prints ship rolled in a tube.

Canvas Wrap - Printed on archival gloss canvas and stretched over a 1.5” wood frame with the image wrapped around the sides. Comes ready to hang with wire and a printed signature on the bottom right.

Artist Embellished Canvas - A canvas print enhanced by the artist with thick, textured acrylic brushstrokes for a one-of-a-kind finish. Hand-signed and available with optional personalization for an added fee.

Floating Canvas Frame - While canvas wraps don’t require a frame (since the artwork continues beautifully around the edges)  adding a wooden floating frame offers a refined, modern touch. The subtle gap between the canvas and frame creates a “floating” effect that elevates the piece. Each artwork arrives ready to hang with wire installed. Frame colors are artist-selected to best complement the artwork and may vary.
