It's A Wonderful Ride
It's A Wonderful Ride
Limited edition reworked prints in varying sizes of It's A Wonderful Ride from the Something Out Of A Storybook: Baby & Children Collection
This dreamy painting features a few of my favorite zoo animals rotating on a pastel palette carousel while other animals whimsically float away by hot air balloons. There are so many unexpected, silly details to admire, like the bunny hanging on to the balloon’s banner as her family’s ears flop over the side of the basket and the spring garden covered in butterflies, bees, and dragonflies. This piece is an illustration of playtime -- full of imagination and joy!
A Reworked Canvas Print is printed on high-quality Archival Gloss Canvas stretched over a wood frame that are then hand-embellished by Casey Langteau with thick acrylic brushstrokes and texture to create the impression of an original painting. Casey begins each rework by coating the printed canvas in a clear, glossy gel, mimicking the brushwork of the original piece. Then, she selectively adds thick colored paint to accent key elements of the image.
Each rework is a unique creation and a form of the original piece. This glossy, textured canvas imitates an original painting and elevates any art collection.

SOmething out of a storybook: Baby & Children collection
Creating this collection has been nothing short of a dream! These paintings have been on my brain for a while, but I was waiting for the right time to paint such special, jovial artwork. When I found out that we would be expecting our first child this summer, I knew I had to get started creating this adorable collection.
Have you experienced moments where everything seems too good to be true, somewhat surreal, or something like it’s straight out of a storybook?... Have you ever then feared something happening to wreck such bliss?
Throughout my journey to motherhood, this has been a frequent feeling. However, I try to actively appreciate the joyous, light-hearted feeling, instead of thinking it's naive and bracing for impact. While I know there will be challenges, I pray that I can relish and appreciate each moment of motherhood and celebrate this incredible gift. I would love to teach my child to cherish these small treasures, but something tells me that he or she will teach me more on enjoying the small, everyday moments.
While painting this collection, I tapped into my best child-like sense of happiness and imagination. I’d think, what would a child love to see… more confetti? Yes! A giraffe with t-rex arms playing the saxophone? Absolutely! An elephant floating by in a hot air balloon? Definitely! It has been a blast getting creative with these amusing pieces.
My goal for these paintings is that they inspire a sense of light-hearted innocence and conjure the inner child in all our hearts; transporting you somewhere magical, like a scene from a storybook.
