Rooftops of the Quarter
Rooftops of the Quarter
40”x60” original painting of Rooftops of the Quarter with in the A Tribute to New Orleans Collection
Rooftops of the Quarter offers a unique bird’s-eye view of New Orleans, revealing the layered beauty of Jackson Square, the Saint Louis Cathedral, and the surrounding architecture. From this elevated perspective, the Mississippi River and the Greater New Orleans Bridge stretch into the horizon, while riverboats drift below, connecting the city’s past and present. At the heart of the painting, I highlighted the welcoming figure of Jesus in the cathedral's courtyard, a symbol of hope and peace. Through this piece, I aimed to capture the spirit and soul of the French Quarter, with its intricate blend of history, faith, and the vibrant energy of New Orleans.

Artist statement for the “a tribute to new orleans” collection:
This collection is a tribute to the vibrant community that has inspired and supported me since becoming a full-time artist, 5 years ago. While New Orleans has always fueled my creativity, it’s the people who have nurtured my artistic journey.
In this series, I revisit beloved subjects that have been cornerstones of my career, like the iconic St. Louis Cathedral and the map of New Orleans, while also introducing new scenes that capture the city’s timeless charm. Each painting reflects a unique facet of New Orleans, offering a glimpse into the city’s heart and soul.
These pieces hold special significance for me, as they mark the beginning of a new chapter for the gallery. This collection is not just a celebration of New Orleans, but a testament to the enduring spirit of a place that continues to inspire and enchant. I am beyond excited to share these paintings with you, as they are a
reflection of both my deep love for this city and my gratitude for the people who make it so extraordinary.
