Hazy Daze
Hazy Daze

Hazy Daze captures the essence of a sun-drenched day in New Orleans' French Quarter. This painting immerses you in the vibrant life of a quaint street, where two-story homes with ornate balconies and lush greenery contrast with the intense summer heat. The sun, large and unyielding, casts a golden glow over the city sidewalks, infusing the scene with a palpable warmth that echoes the city's lively spirit. The backdrop of the skyline adds a sense of grandeur, framing the intimate charm of the Quarter. Through this piece, I sought to evoke the unique blend of heat, light, and urban beauty that defines New Orleans in the height of summer.

Artist statement for the “a tribute to new orleans” collection:
This collection is a tribute to the vibrant community that has inspired and supported me since becoming a full-time artist, 5 years ago. While New Orleans has always fueled my creativity, it’s the people who have nurtured my artistic journey.
In this series, I revisit beloved subjects that have been cornerstones of my career, like the iconic St. Louis Cathedral and the map of New Orleans, while also introducing new scenes that capture the city’s timeless charm. Each painting reflects a unique facet of New Orleans, offering a glimpse into the city’s heart and soul.
These pieces hold special significance for me, as they mark the beginning of a new chapter for the gallery. This collection is not just a celebration of New Orleans, but a testament to the enduring spirit of a place that continues to inspire and enchant. I am beyond excited to share these paintings with you, as they are a
reflection of both my deep love for this city and my gratitude for the people who make it so extraordinary.
