My inspiration for this collection of neutral and uplifting paintings came from the birds featured. The paintings each highlight one of the most well known and admired varieties of birds local to Louisiana. Each of these chosen species represent certain virtues and values, however, all five birds are symbols of both new beginnings and courage. My hope is that these works inspire both an interest in these magnificent creatures themselves and remind viewers of the abundance and beauty in the seemingly mundane. Let's aim to begin each day and every adventure bravely, full of resilience and a renewed sense of hope!
